So, How do you know what Grind to use?

Here’s a handy guide. Save it to your phone, share it with all your friends. You’ll never need another guide!

  1. Coarse:
    • Coarse grinds are chunky pieces of coffee beans, similar to coarse sea salt
  2. Medium-Coarse:
    • Saddling between coarse and medium, this grind looks like rough sand
  3. Medium:
    • The middle of all grind sizes, medium grounds are similar to the consistency of sand
  4. Medium-Fine:
    • The medium-fine grind is a staple grind size, with texture like table salt
  5. Fine:
    • Finer than table salt, fine grind is typically the size of most pre-ground coffee

About this coffee :

If you want to explore more than ordinary cup of joe, this is definitely the coffee that you wouldn’t want to miss. José Roberto Monterroso produces coffees of truly mind-blowing quality on his Rio Dorado and El Morito farms. This year alone, his coffees occupied 3 top 10 ranks in the Guatemalan Cup of Excellence selection! At our cupping table, just one sniff of this coffee’s aromatics was sufficient to blow us off our socks! To find an equal complexity and intensity in the cup made us really happy coffee kids.

What we really love in this coffee is the versatility between brew methods; we thought it held up equally well with pour over and espresso. In filter, it has a nice, subtle acidity that reminds us of raisin and dried mango with the contribution of Natural processed with a clean finish. In espresso, it’s a smooth cup with vibrant acidity like red apple, with a super sweet and lingering clean finish.
